The Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI) Canada West is holding its annual conference, WestCwic 2014, on Saturday September 20 2014 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Guest speakers are fiction writers Hazel Hutchins and Denise Jaden, non-fiction writer Pamela McDowell, and author/illustrator Lisa Cinar. Manuscript and portfolio consultations with our guest speakers are also available. The conference is at the Holiday Inn Express in Burnaby.
